Get to Know Our District--Student Behavior Supports

The LCAP Steering Committee invites you to an evening of information regarding the support systems we have for student behavior! This meeting is Monday, December 9th from 6:00-8:00pm in the Arroyo High School Library. We will have dinner at 5:30pm, as well as childcare and Spanish/ Chinese translation. Click the Title!

African American Family Advisory Committee

Please join us for our next African American Family Advisory Council meeting, November 14th, 5:30-7:30 pm at San Lorenzo High School for our ongoing workshop series "Be a Parent Champion!." Join us for our Trunk or Treat event!

Hesperian’s PTO will host an after school Trunk or Treat Halloween Celebration in the school’s parking loop on Thursday, October 31st from 2-4 PM. Volunteers will decorate the trunk of their cars in the spirit of Halloween and pass out candy during the event. Students will be dismissed at 12:55 on October 31st and must change in their costumes at home and then come back to Hesperian for this fun event and collect candy in a safe environment. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

To make this happen for our students, we need parent and staff participation. If you can help please complete flyer that was sent home and return it to your child’s teacher by Friday, October 18th. If you can help in any way we would appreciate it. You can help my donating candy or money to purchase candy, decorating your car and handing out candy and/or donating water for the kids.

Families and community members can apply to be part of our LCAP Steering Committee this year. The LCAP is the Local Control Accountability Plan, which is a guiding document that outlines our goals, actions and services for our students across the district. African American Family Advisory Council

Come join us for our first African American Family Advisory Council (AAFAC) meeting of the year on Thursday, September 26th! We welcome back guest speaker Tovi Scruggs-Hussein, author of "Be a Parent Champion." Our meeting is at Edendale Middle School from 6-7:30pm, with dinner being served from 5:30-6:00pm.
