Hesperian Beautification

Parents, WE NEED YOUR HELP FRIDAY, 2/15

(Weather Permitting)

Hesperian Garden Sign
Since this planet will be left to our children, we are teaching our students to recycle, re purpose and sustain along with our amazing partners at Stop WasteWe are modeling ways of reducing all of our carbon footprints for the better of their future world.

We are ready to hang our mural thanks to all of the amazing Stop Waste volunteers, the parent and community volunteers and our wonderful students and staff!

We need parent volunteers on Friday, February 15th from 9-11am (weather permitting) to help hang our mural. The students have been painting used CDs and plastic tiles (re purposing) to create a beautiful mural on our field fence. This will bring beauty and joy to our Hesperian community while keeping the CDs and plastic tiles out of our landfills. If you can help we would really appreciate it. Volunteers can meet at the garden near Room 24. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy.

Also, if anyone wants to donate to the garden you can either donate by cash/check or you can give plants, seeds…

Here’s a list of plants we can use now:

-Lavender small or big plants (there are many types too!)

-Rosemary plants

-Herbs for our senses garden

-Native plants such as yarrow, milkweed, buckwheat

-Vegetables- seeds or small plants…we are planting for the winter and spring

-Willow saplings

-CA poppy (all colors)

-Succulents that are smaller and without spines
