SSC- School Site Council

Each SLZUSchool Site Council all hands on deckSD school must have an elected School Site Council (SSC) to represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in the school governance process. The SSC has a number of important responsibilities, including:

  • Reviewing and analyzing student achievement data Gathering community input
  • Helping develop the Academic Plan and the budget
  • Monitoring the implementation of the plan & budget

ELAC - English Learner Advisory Committee
English Learner Advisory Council working all together
The San Lorenzo Unified School District supports the participation of all parents in their children’s educational experience, including the parent of English Learners. The District’s goal is to empower parents to support and meet their children’s educational needs, encouraging parent participation in both district level such as the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) and school level committees such as the English Learner Advisory Committees (ELAC). These committees provide parents with educational information as well as an opportunity to participate in an Open Forum where questions and concerns can be discussed.
