Join us for our Trunk or Treat event!

Hesperian’s PTO will host an after school Trunk or Treat Halloween Celebration in the school’s parking loop on Thursday, October 31st from 2-4 PM. Volunteers will decorate the trunk of their cars in the spirit of Halloween and pass out candy during the event. Students will be dismissed at 12:55 on October 31st and must change in their costumes at home and then come back to Hesperian for this fun event and collect candy in a safe environment. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

To make this happen for our students, we need parent and staff participation. If you can help please complete flyer that was sent home and return it to your child’s teacher by Friday, October 18th. If you can help in any way we would appreciate it. You can help my donating candy or money to purchase candy, decorating your car and handing out candy and/or donating water for the kids.

The grace period for free lunch has expired for this school year...

The grace period for the students that qualified for free lunch has expired for this school year. Every school year there is a grace period at the beginning of the school year and this year the grace period ended on 9/30/19. Each year every student has to apply for free lunch. If you have not done so already and you would like your student to receive free lunch, please complete an online application. Until you have been approved, you can send your child to school with a lunch from home or they can purchase lunch for $2.50 per day.

RETURNING Parents/Guardians TO DO item BEFORE the first day of school (8/21/19)

This message is for all RETURNING STUDENTS... BEFORE the first day of school (8/21/19), all returning students MUST have their contact and emergency information UPDATED on Aeries Parent Portal.

Beginning on 8/1, you can log in to Aeries Parent Portal via the Hesperian website hes.slzusd.org and use the first Quick Link to make sure your address, phone numbers, emergency contacts and email address are ALL up to date (This MUST be done before the first day of school). You will then print and sign the signature page and turn it in to our office on the first day of school which is August 21st.
